Considerate & knowledgeable staff – My escrow for my first home loan was with California Sunset Escrow. Not knowing the real estate, mortage or escrow industry, their staff took the time to explain everything to me in detail and were very patient with my limited knowledge. The entire office was nothing but professional every time I called. I would definitely use this company again.

Fabulous Customer service. They handled a complex transaction with speed, efficiencey and accuracy. – I was suprised to see negative reviews. This company has handled multiple transactions for me and others I know and I have nothing but positive things to say. Will use them again for sure. Reasonable fees.

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE – It appears that the escrow assistants are poorly trained in customer service because they give me the impression that it is a total inconvenience to help me with the status of my file. Their response to me are, "I don't know if we have everything we need, the file is not in order" or "we are just too busy right now and your file is not the only one we are working on." I am really nervous about the final outcome of this transaction.

Exceptional Escrow Service – Having worked with California Sunset Escrow on over 100 transactions I can only say that the unfavorable reviews posted to this site must be simple misunderstandings of the closing process. I and my clients have only received exceptional customer service from this group with professionalism throughout the closing process. Great service – I have been a client for the last 4 years. I have always received exceptional service. All the staff is very friendly and informative. The escrow officer is very knowledable and I would not think of doing business with any other escrow company.

Worst "professional service" experience of my life. – For some reason my first home purchase switched to this company in the middle of the transaction - and it was the worst experience ever. I don't know much about escrow proceedings, but I do know that these people were rude to me almost every time I called and never returned phone calls left on voicemail. Avoid at all costs... – Wow, the worst in a long time. Horrible service at all aspects. Sent out checks and forgot to sign them. Nightmare to deal with.

Beware - The worst escrow company I've dealt with in 7 years of being in the real estate business. – * The escrow officer is unavailable or may not even exist * The staff is rude * They never talked to the buyer throughout the transaction nor return phone calls * Escrow Instructions took over 3 weeks to prepare * Closing Statement and refund to buyer has taken over a week and counting after closing. The list goes on. I strongly recommend you take your business elsewhere or you will probably experience the above.
