RecommendedI've ordered from CC for many years (with an unfortunate 8 year gap). I think I was 17 when I made my first purchase. I've always had a great experience. All plants are well packaged and healthy, and shipping on their end is always spot on, COVID willing. Recently ordered Dionaea "Colorado Hardy" seeds, and even with my complete lack of experience in growing CPs from seed and forgetting to water the grow tray several times, it was fresh enough that I've got several little VFTs germinating! CC has a loyal customer in me.
My 9 yr old son has recently taken extreme interest in carnivorous plants. I have had to tell him a few times to quit calling California Carnivores because I know he can talk an ear off. He refers to every one of your staff on a first name basis as if he's best buddies with you. He watches all of your videos, and is on your website several times each day. I ordered a Drosera capensis 'alba narrow leaf' and a sarracenia x 'Dana's delight. they came very neatly and safely packaged with absolutely ZERO damage to the plants. it was shipped and delivered in a timely manner as well.
I’ve only ordered pings from here my first plants didn’t make it but my second order they were a bit smaller then I expected but they are growing out and looking good! I can not wait for flowers! I just ordered more pings 👍🏼👍🏼

Wonderful nursery, even though they're close to me, I'm mail ordering for now due to COVID-19. The plants come smartly wrapped to keep moisture in, with cups to keep the plants safe from being crushed. I was gifted a ping (a moranensis variety) nearly three years ago and it's such a happy, healthy plant. It's easily doubled in size since then with no manual fertilizing (it catches all its own food.) There are at least three plants now, though I think more are hiding under the larger ones, I won't know until I can repot them.... read more
