The staff was pleasant and friendly when I arrived. The site was clean except for trash cans at the donor beds that were overflowing- not a good luck. Here's my complaint- While I was donating, I asked one of the staff members about receiving a1c testing since this is offered during the month of March. She said ok so I thought I would get it after my blood was collected. She didn't offer information about it. After I finished, I got some water and waited for a few minutes. This was my first visit to an actual donation center, because I’ve typically only donated at Red Cross blood drives. It was a great experience! Everyone at this location was very kind, even though I was a few minutes late for my appointment. Lisa is the kind lady who took my vitals and started my IV to give blood, and she did an excellent job. They also had a very relaxing snack area for you to recover in after giving blood.
