Excellent food, great service. I love the mezcal selection and chapulines. Go and get some !
Food and service are always fantastic and the cocktails taste as good as they look. The Mezcal selection is hands down the best in Oakland and probably one of the best in the entire Bay Area. If you haven't been yet, do yourself a favor and check it out!
Calavera for me is home in Oakland. Ever since I first went I could taste the love and respect for my culture. Also tried there the best cocktail I've had in my life. I am Mexican living in Mexico and it is a big deal for us to call a place home outside our country. Long live Calavera �!
The best! And truly cares about their guests and community.
Been there several times, but their Brunch is my favorite! Traditional Mexican breakfasts done right, the perfect crossover between "high-end" Mexican and dishes you'd expect top find in a small Mexican town! Oh and their Mezcal Bloody Marys are to die for!
Food was flavored and good. Will go back again. Haven't been downtown Oakland in years.
