Caju is a good salon. I have had very pleasant experiences with my stylist at Caju. She understands my hair and my preferences extremely well. She takes her time to cut and has very interesting ideas about color. The salon is polished, casual and calm. I'm very happy with my experiences there and with how my hair has turned out.

THE OWNER IS STUPID first let me start by saying that i really love the way April did my hair, she totally got it and did exactly what i wanted but....the owner well she is the reason that i refuse to go back to this salon. I bought two hair products after an appointment and didnt like either of them and went in a couple of days later to return products. The receptionist had to place a call to the owner to ok the transaction and i was told she refused to let me return the products because they had been used. The products tot... read more

Caju: Worst haircut experience I received the worst haircut I've ever had. I have long, fine hair - but a LOT of hair. WIth this type of hair, a lot of care needs to be taken if ever using the thinning shears. I did not know this at the time, and trusted that stylist knew what he was doing. The stylist texturized my hair in a straight line all over instead of at an angle. He did not take any care with the placement of the cuts. Caju Salon I regularly get my hair cut and colored here after being disappointed by all of the other "high end" salons in the area. This is the only salon around that could make my brown hair appear its natural color while covering the premature gray. I have never had so many compliments on my hair. Their prices are at least 20% less from similar salons in town that I got poor service and bad color from. I highly recommend them without reservation. Not a true high end salon Caju definitely does not live up its billing as a high end salon in Chapel Hill. I had my hair cut by April twice, and while I thought the cut was satisfactory, her station was messy (the hair from the previous client had not been swept up). On my second visit, the unkempt station was still an issue, and she absolutely reeked of cigarettes. I enjoy going to a salon for the relaxing experience, and this unfortunately was not it. Caju is a beautiful salon and friendly I had a hair cut and color by KC and was very impressed with his talent...he is very knowledgeable in color and cut..very professional...they also have a fabulous selection of fantastic hair care products you will not find in many other places.. Linda

Might as well go to Great Clips thoroughly researched this salon prior to deciding to check it out for myself, which included looking up reviews as well as soliciting detailed feedback from friends who go to this salon.
