Overrated – Yes the French Toast was good, but not deserving of it's steep price tag. Service was slow, but friendly. Other offerings were nothing special, so the high prices weren't justified.

Best Breakfast in PDX! – My wife kept trying to get me to go to this place for their French Toast. French Toast? How good could it be that it would be worth making the trip? I'll tell you: It was completely worth it. This place makes French toast like fine dining restaurants make creme brulee. It is sinfully good to eat for breakfast. Being a fan of the savory, I tried Eggs Benedict and omelets on subsequent visits. They were equally good. The omelets are made in the true French style: light, airy, and just barely cooked. Perfect outside cafe for breakfast – Decided to try something new this weekend so the fiancee and & ventured out and tried Cafe Du Berry on no recommendation. Got goo parking, seated right away and there were quite a few people working, so the water and coffee were always full. We both ordered the ham & cheese omlete and were very pleased with the results. PDX's Best Food in Very Relaxed Atmosph – Cafe Du Berry doesn't look fancy inside or out, but the food is incredible. And after you come in a few times, you'll feel like family. The Pepper Steak is better than Ringside's. The breakfasts: unbelievable french toast, great Eggs Benedict. And Mike (chef) does amazing things with whatever fish he has fresh that day. Even the vegetables are yummy -- and that's saying something coming from me.
