Cool lace, right on campus. I have eaten here many times, tried different items, and I'm never disappointed.

Unfortunately I was disappointed. I had high hopes. I understand waiting awhile for the food because of parents weekend. Gyro meat was dry and too salty. Side salad with meal was a few pieces of lettuce. Restrooms you could tell aren’t properly maintained/cleaned on a regular basis. Won’t be back.

The cafe is busy and packs seating into a confined space where privacy cannot be expected from table to table. The delicious food is compromised by one thing, a coffee with a burned dark roast which was weak and watery. I ordered a gyro, which came with its filling heaped over undersized flatbread making it impossible to eat as a street food, hand held. Super cool place downtown Ames. Our waiter was a very nice young gentleman. We chose their classic sandwich with chicken, it was awesome! Lots of flavor and total different than the typical chicken sandwich. You do have an option for other meats as well. We also tried one of their portuguese egg tarts , and it was phenomenal. I would recommend and definitely go back. Also-- try their bloody mary ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
