My husband brought me here for a surprise date and it was fabulous. Very authentic British style afternoon tea. It was rainy, so we couldn't enjoy the garden, but will be back when it's nice out. Breakfast that other guests were having also looked fabulous in English style with baked beans. The owner is from Great Britain and is very friendly. I felt like we were back to England for a day. Can't wait to go back!

Wonderful experience, it was a rainy day so we had to cafe to ourselves. The tea was fantastic and my husband and I both enjoyed our Chicken Mushroom pasties and sticky toffee pudding with custard. The owner was super friendly and we chatted for the majority of our visit. I also managed to pick up some British candy which was a pleasant surprise :) would definitely recommend

My son and I really love this place. The owner is very accomodating and nice. So is the rest of the staff. It's a very cute little cafe with serene gardens in the back with a fountain. But then you add the lovely British Puff Pastries & dishes. Its really a very nice getaway in downtown Frederick. With the owner, Michael's accent, authentic cuisine & beautiful gardens, it's not very difficult to imagine yourself in the heart of the UK. I highly recommend the this place. We will be returning soon!
Had to kill an hour in the area unexpectedly and decided to try this amazing cafe today. What a treasure this place is! Great food, wonderful staff, and charming venue in the heart of downtown. Competition is fierce on downtown Frederick, but for me it will be an easy call to return to this place next time I'm in town. Thank you, Cafe Anglais!
