RecommendedThis review is long overdue. In a time when I can’t travel, Cafe Anglais is my vacation every weekend. There is nothing like a good cup of tea, served on fine china, with a warm scone and lemon curd. The shepherds pie warms me up (the mash on top is so creamy and wonderful). The garden is lovely, and each time I’ve brought either a book or journal. Thank you to the whole team for letting me visit the English countryside so often without ever having to get on a plane.
Authentic British food which we enjoyed in your garden. The desserts are made on the premises.

The restaurant wasn't supposed to be open today, but Michael, the owner, saw me looking in the window and said he'd open for us since I said I was interested in the haggis. Had a great meal and an even better conversation! What a really great guy and a wonderful little spot in downtown Frederick! Highly recommend
We stopped by for lunch and ate in the back garden. everything was tasty. I will definitely be back
A lovely place with a cozy garden. The owner who is from the UK serves excellent meals. Sarah our server was excellent with a bubbly personality. We highly recommend it.
Michael is so friendly and accommodating. He did an extremely rush special order of scones for our daughter's tea themed bridal shower. The authentic scones really made it special!!
