Expensive for what you get, not much in terms of filling. Soggy crepes. Table cloths wrinkled and smelled like they had been left in the washer. Servers looked sloppy and not very welcoming. Not the experience you would expect at a nice hotel like this. I had a ham, egg, onion and mushroom Galette to take home, a piece of apple cake and coffee. It was all delicious. I can't wait for some nicer weather to try their new location in Saugeen Shores aka Sauble Beach.

This morning I got a croissant, a ham and cheese croissant sandwich, and two coffees to go and I was so impressed. My first time trying Café Gilou and I was actually in heaven eating that croissant over my kitchen sink like a wild animal. 100/10 I’m so happy to finally find good croissants in Owen Sound!
