There is a new executive chef and let me just say, it shows, for the good! The food has taken a turn now to farm to table and it is beyond creative, yummy and enjoyable. The menu also changes up by season. If you are seeing a review from over 6 months ago, ignore it. It's a whole new place now. Menu wasn't like advertised. The devil eggs were awful. I wouldn't recommend it. It was empty and still took a long time to get our food.
The new menu was amazing. Fantastic appetizers, absolutely awesome Chef's chicken soup, perfect steak, and I think we shared almost all of the deserts between the five of us (plus one 4 year old who loved the Gouda Mac & Cheese!).
I went to Cadwells during Lake County's restaurant week and I can't wait to go back! I had the buffalo spring rolls as an appetizer and also got to try the deviled egg trio and the pork crackling with spicy maple syrup dipping sauce. Each appetizer was better then the next. Don't ever go here unless you like a little fish with your fried batter. Even then, the fish sucked. Then the $6 beers I ordered became $8 beers on the check. SO if you go, check your bill carefully. Personally, I dont recommend this place and I will surely never go back.
