We came in from Kansas. We read about this place and how it's "road trip worthy." Indeed!! Excellent ribs! Perfect brisket! Delicious Sweet Willie sauce. And generous workers who added a bit when we told them we'd come from Kansas. Coming back? You betcha!
Greeted outside in the parking lot, we arrived late in the afternoon so missed out having the competition beans, but we asked for suggestions and were not unhappy with the choices.. I had ribs, smoked cabbage, smoked jalapeno sausage and the cornbread. Carlene wanted pull pork and one of the chefs told me that he was pulling to pork from the heart of the pork shoulder, the same cut they use for competition. It was all delicious..
The food is fabulous but nothing beats Mike!!! This guy is AWSOME!! He is always happy and he makes my trip worth it every single time!! I love pulling up to the drive thru hearing his voice!! I always leave in such a better mood due to him!!
I also gave it 5 stars on Trip Advisor! Sliced beef and sausage were yummy but the ribs were heavenly! Service was super!!
