The only great thing about this place was happy hour. Primarily because it was free. They have great customer service but the rooms smell of mildew. I was sick the entire week that I was there with allergies and asthma issues. Skip the food and coffee.

The Cabot Lodge used to be a great find in Tallahassee. It was the kind of place the staff would greet you by name if you were a regular. The evening happy hour was a real treat, they made you feel like you truly were a valued guest. I always had a good stay. But all that is gone now. The building was bought by Holiday Inn with plans to rebrand it as a Holiday Inn Express. They say they are going to remodel and clean the place up but so far they've just let it go. So we decided to stay at this hotel a few nights ago. We were just passing thru Tallahassee and it was after midnight and we booked out room via Hotwire. When we reached the hotel the dude at reception told us that since we had booked after 12 AM midnight we are scheduled to check-in around 1 PM. It was 1 AM and we told him there was some mistake and we will leave by 11 AM if he could let us stay for the night as we had already paid them. e refused to help.
