Do not bother presenting to this hospital for mental health, even if you communicate you need help for suicidal thoughts & auditory hallucinations they still won’t admit you for mental health help. After nearly 24 hours of sitting around in the emergency they then stereotype you as homeless because of the way you look while appearing desperate for mental health help. My friend had a stay there for a week and he was looked after by the staff and doc's and nurses like a king,they were helpful,made sure he understood what was going to happen to him,in a way he could understand,and repeatedly asked, are you in any pain and if they could help just to ask,he was very happy and feels better,we would just like to thank them sincerely for all their help wonderful hospital
Go literally anywhere else. You'd have more luck at recovering if you stayed at home. 12 hour wait after ambulance, forced into filthy, loud, uncomfortable waiting room after being taken in by ambulance dur to loss of vision, confusion, inability to speak properly , numb arm and hand, leg not obeying, neck with multiple diagnosed issues and history of TBI and concussions, seeing spots, nausea, not recognising partner, trouble swallowing, losing motor skills and basic cognition. Sent me home after a motorbike accident, with a traumatic brain injury after losing consciousness for prolonged period, with amnesia, and badly broken collarbone. Symptoms escalated, had to go to another ER. Even the transfer of my record from Caboolture was difficult in the urgent situation.
