No service no attention very disappointing. Hopefully was due to the back end of a popular holiday. But still.

I am here often but tonight when I sat in my usual spot in the parlor area, they removed a dirty glass from the previous guest that they knew wasn't mine, then they placed my silverware in the same spot without wiping between customers. Disgusting! And this was after the staff appeared confused about who serves that area. Another time ago was service mix up but they asked me to give them another chance. Will never return! This place needs to get its act together. Birthday party dinner for 5 and they send out 4 popovers for the table. The drinks were ordered 1st but ended up coming out after the appetizers after letting them know we still didn't have our drinks. The water glasses were always empty. And our 2nd round of drinks came as the bill was being delivered to the table. I can't get enough of the seasonal menu. It was high end yet cosy and quaint. The fact that they change many aspects of the hotel as well as the menu to fit the season, goes to show a great deal of dedication and love goes into this establishment.
Very warm staff, courteous and attentive to your needs. I stayed at the Maidstone with my girlfriend and stayed in one of the separated cottages. A lovely quaint and romantic feel, perfect for getaways.
