I booked this hotel last minute and while it appeared to be a perfect fit for my short stay in East Hampton the hotel missed the mark completely. There was a large wedding and for some reason they still took bookings from non wedding guests and treated us as if it was a buyout. We had virtually no access to any of the spaces and we felt the staff was just unprofessional and not accommodating. They essentially wanted us in our room or not in the hotel. The 5 stars is all for the gentleman running the valet stand, just an incredible human being who helped us out in a pinch. Employing a man like that would make me want to frequent this establishment. I can’t thank him enough
Exceptional service and amazing food. We decided to experience the Maidstone family-style with four courses, and each course was more delicious than the last. The “Scarpetta” spaghetti and the apricot soufflé are not to be missed! An absolutely wonderful dining experience from beginning to end.
