We're a fun and funky family restaurant on the banks of the Brazos River specializing in Cajun and Creole cooking, we're happy to keep it spicy or make it milder if that's your preference. We've been voted the best seafood in town. We serve hot boiled crawfish and fresh oysters on the half shell when they're in season. On the river, great food and service. I’ll be back.
First discovered this place in Omaha, NE, and was pleasantly surprised to learn there is one in Waco. Always try to stop in when possible for the armadillo eggs. I live about three hours away, so it’s not often, but worth it every time! Our waitress, Jen, was friendly and fast.
First time for me and my family we really enjoy ourselves
Our food was cold, the hamburger we ordered had hair in it. The rest of the order took for ever to get. Not impressed with the food or the service.
First time to eat here. Stopped at HEB in Waco and while there aske a gentleman in the seafood section for a seafood restaurant recommendation. Great atmosphere- sits about twenty feet above the north bank of the Brazos River. We had the fried catfish, cole slaw and picnic style potatoes and a mug of draft Shine Bock. If you want authentic New Orleans style food then look no further! This restaurant has amazing atmosphere and servers. The prices on their food and beer are one that will keep me coming back again and again. This place has a beautiful view and will always be an iconic waco restaurant!
I love eating there with my family (8) but this weekend was the worst. Waiter was having issues . We received our salads while waiting for our food , no silverware. By the time we got our silverware , they brought our main meal. By then you didn’t have room on the table for all your food. The whole experience was a disaster. Service was incredible The manager Chris is the best in the business at making the Desperados feel special at his restaurant. Don’t leave without trying the banana foster for desert Food coma guaranteed!!!
The manager, Chris, was great trying to accommodate our baseball team of around 40-50 people on a Saturday night. The food was wonderful! The best was the service from Jeremy and KK. Those two hustled and busted their butts for our tables! They provided excellent service to us!
