I know Dr. Butman as THE cardiologist who attended my wife through a mitral valve repair and later full valve replacement. Though Dr. Butman was not the surgeon in either procedure, he was instrumental in securing the best available talent to assure success of both events. She also suffered from ovarian cancer, and he supported her oncology treatment. After her demise, he sought me out and supported me through my grief. I now see him as my cardiologist. He is my "go to" Dr. - RECOMMENDED!
I was totally dissatisfied with him. Everything was a joke to him and I did find him funny at all. He spent maybe 3 min. with me. He did not read my chart as to see why my private care provider referred me. I also had prior testing done and he did not even look at it. I had to ask him what his impression was of the results. He glanced at the results and said it was fine, then he ordered another diagnostic test and left. I learned nothing from this appmt. It was a total waste of time and money

Always feel badly when things did not go well. I nearly always review patient files the night before. Rarely do I have patients come in just to review results and prefer to not waste their time when a phone call will do. Any patient of mine who feels the time spent with me is a waste of time has a right to not have to pay for the time spent at the appointment. If I would have known or if they would have in some way let me know, I believe the experience could have been rectified.
He saved my life. Another facility in Sedona was discharging me for anxiety. Dr Butman had me transported by ambulance to VVMC. Cardio catheter reveals a 95percent blockage in my LAD, (widow maker). I'm forever grateful.
Dr Hitman discovered an abdominal aortic aneurysm that could have ruptured.
I needed some work done to verify my ability to receive a kidney transplant. Dr. Butman did the work and treated me in a way that my percentage of kidney function remained at the same level as I had before the procedure. I am extremely pleased with the result of the procedure and would trust Dr. Butman to work with me anytime.
