Hadn't had a chance to try this yet! However I am hoping the food is more impressive than the first impression! I called at 11am this morning to see what the opening time was and if there was availability. I received a pleasant response of yes and yes. I visited the restaurant 7 mins later (commute from my local church). Wonderful food. Wonderful atmosphere. Courteous staff, You have to try the Pecan Salad with Jalepeno Blue cheese ice cream. Excellent! We had the privilege of meeting the chef/owner, Bobby. Such a kind man who even stopped at our table a second time to see what we thought of our meal. So glad we found Butchertown Grocery....We've found a gem in Louisville!

Some of the best chicken and waffles and shrimp and grits every put in your mouth. Cool surroundings and vintage cocktails. Excellent bourbon choices.
