Great food and atmosphere! You can have hamburgers and hotdogs or a southern cooked meal. I had country fried steak, green beans and okra. It was very good. The dessert looked good but we were too full.

My Friends and I eat at Butcher Block in Monroe and have always had wonderful friendly service until today when the Manager waiting on our table and she was very rude to the entire table, not sure if she was too busy or just having a bad day but we were in the café before 12 o'clock, before the lunch rush. The rest of the staff was great as usual, once we complained she did not even come back to our table she had the other girls wait on us. LOVE this place!! Moved in a few blocks away from it, and discovered it one day while walking around town. The food is delicious, the prices are great. It has a sweet, laid back atmosphere... definitely a new favorite!
