The Worst! Business Careers is the worst agency I have ever dealt with. The agent/rep was demeaning and told me I have no marketable skills. Interesting since I am 50 and have worked since age 14 in everything from dishwasher to Executive Assistant to VP of a large company. I was shocked at their way of making people feel like a commodity. Signs in the office reading -" 6 placements = $$$" The entire experience was OFFENSIVE.
Bait and Switch What a complete waste of time. I wonder if any of the jobs they advertise are really jobs at all. I inquired about a job listing and when I was contacted it was as if they had no idea who I was or even what their own listing contained. I was given information on a completely different position that paid far less than what was advertised with a different set of work hours and benefits. Seems to be a bait and switch operation. Business Careers is AWFUL! DO NOT USE this agency. Business Careers is a sleazy outfit. I decided to give them another chance and replied to a posting they had advertised. I should have known better given my prior interaction with them. Same tactics. Don't waste your time. I agree that the positive reviews are most likely from employees. I have yet to come across an actual client who can give them a good review.
Business Careers is Not Ver welcoming to all! I applied for a position with Business careers a couple of times and I have to say, I was not impressed. I was called in for an interview with one of their reps, Brad Near in the Down town Seattle office. It took me almost an hour to get to the interview and I had to pay $12.00 for parking. Business Careers is Awesome! Oh wait no, I mean AWFUL. I have only dealt with them as an employer and they were totally unimpressive. So much so in fact, they were eventually banned from our building.
I wish people would stop being so bitter!!! I have been into Business Careers before and found it to be a fun and friendly atmosphere. I'm sick of reading these negative reviews from bitter people who couldn't be helped by Business Careers. I'm not sure if you have been paying attention to current events, but in case you didn't know, the economy is terrible! Business Careers can't help everyone and they receive so many resumes a day. good service-very helpful I saw Business Careers' ads all the time and decided to finally go in and check them out. The person I met with explained their service very simply: they are on the phone with employers all day trying to get interviews set up for their candidates. And the recruiters at Business Careers only make money if they place candidates-so they want to place as many people as possible. They only deal with full-time jobs too which is good for me. Waste of time... A recruiter called me for an interview at their Seattle office on a Monday. On Tuesday I received a vague, impersonal cancellation email from businesscareers.com. Their recruiters reminded me of overenthusiastic, used car lot sales people trying too hard to sell something they can't guarantee. Like, lay off the crack before work or something and tone it down. Very odd experience I was looking for full-time employment a few months ago. I found an ad for a wonderful sounding position that was posted by Business Careers. I decide to apply for it and was called for an interview right away. I did a little research on their site and printed up a stack of other positions that sounded interesting to me. I waited about 20 minutes past my interview time, and went through a 10 minute meeting with a recruiter.
