I was here back in 2014 it was hell. We had to ask at every doorway if you could enter. Teenagers were put in "chair time". Dont get me started on the metal IMFH rooms (basically they were locking jail cells). This place made my mental health way worse. Now some staff made my stay amazing ( Mr Reggie, Mr Dan, and Mr Carlos) to name a few. Idk if Holly is still there but she was honestly one of the worst. I remember having to pee my pants due to the fact they wouldn't let me use the restroom. I spent 11 months there.
I was a resident around when 9-11 happened, put my foot through their dining room window. I can relate to the IMHF rooms, spent many a night locked in them. Never would I recommend this place for any child. I'm in my 30's and still have dreams about this place
Former client (2009). I can say this place shaped me to be the person I am today. However, I would have been happier reading that they have dismantled the “timeout room”, which was made of metal. How that room is legal is beyond me. This room caused me a lot of long-lasting trauma. Besides this, the staff at Milano House saved my life and I’m forever thankful for them.

I went there when I was in grade school and there was some things I did not like like some people ask to be entering into another room I was put in the time-out room which was all metal walls it was not comfortable to me plus the girls have you put downstairs and the boys are upstairs. The person that was in charge of the place wasn't there so often but she was really nice to all the kids from elementary school to high school.
