Have you ever wondered what it would be like to visit an ancient monastery and have drinks served to you by friars while listening to Gregorian chants? Well, this East Village theme bar comes pretty close to achieving that goal. Waiters dressed as monks serve excellent brews to an appreciative crowd. In all, there are over 250 kinds of beer available, including a large selection of Belgian brands.

Fantastic athmosphere! Veeryy unique and tasty beer!
Utter garbage. Shhhhhh is all you hear in the bar and the best beer is the cheapest. Bartender is a b***h poured out my beer because I expressed that I didn't like it and told me to leave if I didn't like it. $6 I'm gonna drink it even sub par but didn't even get that chance. Funny name but don't waste your time. If I could rate it zero stars I would.
Best beer selection. Plus you bring your frites over from Pom.
Despite the name, quite reverence for Belgian beers is appreciated by the staff. After a few I was "shhhhhh"ed by the staff for talking too loud.
Love this place! Beer selection is great and atmosphere is nice and quite so you can each other talk! If you don't want to be shhhhh'd don't come here or be quiet!
