Have you ever wondered what it would be like to visit an ancient monastery and have drinks served to you by friars while listening to Gregorian chants? Well, this East Village theme bar comes pretty close to achieving that goal. Waiters dressed as monks serve excellent brews to an appreciative crowd. In all, there are over 250 kinds of beer available, including a large selection of Belgian brands.

My favorite place to visit whenever I'm in NYC. A friend brought me here back in "05" and it's been my favorite place since. No crappy music, no bros, just good company and great beer. No bud light allowed.
I love this place. Quiet, usually good company there. And the beer is never disappointing.
