I have been seen @ Burkhardt PT Center for various issues since 08/2013. Most recent treatments began with pain management due to a fall on the ice in 02/2014. Strain / Counter Strain is a fantastic! I was finally diagnosed with a torn rota-tor cuff which resulted in repair surgery. Physician told me that I would be limited for a year or more. I began seeing Myra about 2 plus years ago. I was referred by my neurologist because I had "flunked" conventional physical therapy for my back and neck issues. It was always too much for me, causing me more pain rather than helping. The treatment is so very gentle. I spend the time discussing things with the therapist; medical, spiritual, family etc. I am always treated with kindness and respect. I had the most amazing hot stone massage last week from Megan at the Burkhardt Center! I have had massages in the past at other facilities, but hands down, Megan is the best! She is highly trained and knows how to target specific areas causing problems. I was having a little shoulder pain after straining it a couple months back. It greatly improved after the massage and she also instructed me on some exercises to strengthen it. I highly recommend Megan if you have pain or just need to relax! I did a physical health assessment and personal training session with Holly and it was fantastic. She worked with me and developed a customized work out routine for me that was some thing I could easily do at home. And it was realistic for my abilities at the time. Challenging enough to move me forward but not so challenging that I didn't want to do it. She gave me some ideas on how to build up the strength in my knees so that I could start doing more things! I highly recommend it!

I have been going to Burkhardt Physical Therapy, since Myra opened the doors (years ago!) I wouldn't think of going anywhere else! I have had every therapy they offer I believe, and each was very beneficial and done with the utmost care and professionalism. I love Myra and Randy, and the whole staff, they all make you feel so cared for and part of their family! I suffer from chronic pain as a result of fibromyalgia and burned nerve endings from double chemo and radiation. Thanks to Burkhardt Physical Therapy Center, I am enjoying a more quality life. My last treatment involved some needling of calves and bottom of my feet, myofascia release and joint; manipulation. Prior to this appointment, I was miserable but, now, have had several good days. My husband and I even went on a 25 mile bike ride with our tandem recumbent. Thank you to you and your wonderful staff!
