I have experience with Patrick O'Neil, a practicing lawyer with Burchell MacDougall (BM). In my opinion he is guilty of professional misconduct and unethical behaviour. He represented the former owners of Airlane Golf Course and withheld (did not disclose) negative information critical to the sale valuation even though he knew, well in advance of Airlane Golf Course's sale in 2025. Terrible service. Called Halifax and Truro office to get legal assistance with a simple real estate transaction (quick closing on sale of property) and no one was available. I had to leave messages with three people (two voice mail and one assistant). Apparently, everyone was out of the office that could help. I was told I'd get a call back. It's been three weeks and crickets. I guess they don't need the business, so I'm taking it elsewhere. I suggest you do, as well. I was completely satisfied with Burchell MacDougall. In particular, James Russell was very helpful and efficient as well as patient with my questions and informative with his answers. The responses were always prompt and clear. many thanks to James and his associates.
