Located in Clyde, North Carolina, our property is a quick drive from Asheville (25 miles) - Maggie Valley and Waynesville are only 12 miles away. This is the Smoky Mountains at its best. We are open year round, our cabins & cabooses are pet friendly and they all have wifi. Not only do we offer luxury log cabin rentals we also host romantic wedding parties, school field trips & weekend getaways on our property as well.

This was an amazing trip! We waited late to book and spent 1 night in the caboose like we wanted and another in the bison escape cabin and we have NO REGRETS. The caboose was beautiful and the boys loved it but after a day of activities the space of bison escape lodge was exactly what we needed! We are making this a yearly tradition and if you're on the fence about going DO IT! *As another reviewer wrote if you're not used to mountain roads arrive in the daylight*
My wife and I have stayed at the Buffalo Bungalow twice now. It is one of our favorite places in the world to escape to. We love the cozy feel of the cabin, and the views from the wrap around porch are breathtaking! The wood burning fireplace and hot tub are just a couple of our favorite things about the cabin. I cannot say enough great things about buffalo creek! It will be our home away from home. We stayed in the buffalo bungalow not only was the cabin the most charming place i had ever been cheryl was always responsive and helpful! This is a must visit if you like peace and quiet nature and animals! I miss it already!

RecommendedWonderful cabin! Cheryl was able to accomodate us on short notice at Bison Escape and we had a spectacular time. Always something to do and didn't have to worry about freezing our buttocks off! Highly recommended!
We stayed in Tatonka Lodge and it was wonderful. Comfortable living spaces. Well stocked kitchen. Great game room. Loved living on a working bison ranch for the week and it was convenient to great Smokey Mountain hiking and the Biltmore estate. Thanks for making our vacation a delight.
We just got back from the most amazing vacation! My daughter was getting married at Chestnut Ridge in Canton NC and we wanted the family to enjoy some time together! Our cabin was Bison Escape! If you are considering this, do yourself a favor and just book it! The cabin was outstanding! 3 large bedrooms, my granddaughters loved the bunk beds and the kitchen, living room and playroom were fantastic! We never felt cramped the rooms are all spacious and the outdoor area was out of this world!! We loved it, I know you will too!
