I returned a vehicle with no issues and a few weeks later I received a $400.00 bill. I was charged this amount because they say the interior was extremely dirty. I have rented vehicles from Budget during business trips for nearly twenty years and never experienced this before. When I inquired for an explanation nothing was provided as proof of this condition. I found the price steep but worst was I was charged $250 extra for some popcorn on the floor and not washing before returning.
2026 Wish I would have read my own review, horrible communication and same issues I have rented before with no card issues. Literly just 3-4 weeks ago. I made reservations online so I could get a early start on a extremly important business trip. It's right after memorial day so this was the only location open early. Shortly after getting my rental car I noticed the car had a temp plate on it and it was set to expire the next day. When I went to exchange the car the same day, the lady at the counter acted like I was inconveniencing her and told me to just take a ticket if I get pulled over by a cop and bring the ticket to budget as if they was going to dispute the court system for me. Booked a gas powered sedan 3mo in advance. Flight arrived at 6:30pm (on-time) and am told they only have electric vehicles left. No reason, no apologies, just “ that’s the way it worked out”. Absolute garbage.
