About this business

This establishment holds the oldest liquor license in the state, and it has been in operation for more than a century. Serving since 1893, this national historic landmark has seen countless wild west icons having a meal here, including the legendary Buffalo Bill Cody. Be aware that the dining room walls are flanked by animal trophy heads, which some diners find as uncomfortably distracting. The menu offers some eye-opening fare such as rattlesnake, yak and fried alligator tail. If you prefer the traditional cuisine, tenderlo... read more

Fun place to visit but the food wasn't all that great which stinks because I have been wanting to come here for years! The appetizers were ok but I've had MUCH better alligator and rocky mountain oysters elsewhere. The portions of buffalo and elk were very small (4oz each) for the price. The duck and quail were good. But for the price none of it was really worth it.

I guess at that price I was expecting more. Yes I told the waitress. I was only offered a free dessert, which honestly, at that point I didn't want to eat anymore. My daughters Salmon was good my Father's Quail was good. I'm not sure if it was just a bad night. But we felt rushed by the waitress, and of course the food was subpar. My grandparents and my mom used to lov... read more

Food not cooked correctly. Very flavorless. It is more of an experience restaurant than for the food. Very disappointed with the food.
