Disappointed!!! – I was really excited to try Buca because I had heard alot of good things. I planned a birthday party of 20+ people. Well, out of all 20 of us, 0 will return. I cook better Italian food at home. The service was terrible. They gave us 1 server for our entire party. The food was tasteless. We asked to get the kids dish served first and that was the LAST dish that we got. The one GOOD thing about Buca was that they took one of the dishes off of our bill because only 1 person even tried it. VERY DISAPPOINTED!
Buca scores with high school students – Buca had an excellent atomsphere and a great sense of tradition. I was seated promtly, the decor was excellent and unique, the food was authentic italian cuizine (and the portions were ridiculously gigantic!). Definetely a recommendation for dates, formal dances, and banquets/parties.
Dessert with the Pope? – Not sure if I would have chosen Buca for the best dessert. If I am eating a bowl of ice cream while staring at the Popes head, I may have to reconsider my options...
Grow up SLC – IF you like way to much Garlic, crying kids, and terrible food this is a great place for you! No wonder SL dosen't have many really good places if people rate this place that high
one word...suprising! – Wow what a bold place! I can't believe the owners had the courage to try something like this is Utah. I'll tell you what though...it sure was a hit for me and my family. The food, atmosphere, everything was just amazing. Walking through the kitchen and talking with the chefs? Where else would let you do that? Around every corner was something new and incredible. Thanks guys, I'll be back!
hOW TO HAVE FUN AT DINNER... – Oh my gawd this place cracks me up- I have never seen a restaurant put so much into decorating the place. Im not Italian but there's no other words to describe the ambience..and the food, oh wow---IFS Italian Food Syndrome--u wanna get near someone close if u no what i mean!!!
a place to eat with family and friends – The food at bucca's is awesome, and the portions are huge. Plan on sharing the meal because these are not single servings. My favorite is the chicken marsala, but it comes with 4 chicken breast so plan on sharing and it doesn't come with pasta. The garlic bread is okay but it has too much garlic try thr brushcetta instead
Fabulous – absolutely fabulous! the service is fantastic, particularly our usual waitress Marnie. She is always very sweet and helpful! Thanks Bucca!
***** – The most authentic Itialian Food I have had, since being there. Nothing else compares to it. Once you've been you're hooked to everything ffom the staff, to the pictures on the wall, to the fun and exciting rooms you can enjoy dining in. WOW!
