The Bryant-Lake Bowl was re-imagined in 1993, when it was transformed from an Uptown dive bar with a game room into a bustling open-bowling spot with an American grill menu and a 90-seat cabaret theater. But some traditions remain: Every closing time since the 1970s Roger Engmark has told patrons, “You don't have to go home, but you can't stay here.” The BLB is an historical establishment that serves locally sourced food all day everyday alongside the bowling lanes and theater. Delicious. The biscuits with mushroom gravy and veggie sausage was the best dish we got but all were delicious.
Always great food and service! Love this place. We come from Anoka for the awesome food. Kuddos!
We went for a show and that was good and entertaining. Small and cozy theater. Beers were fine but 2 friends ordered wine, and at $8 and $10 a glass both said it tasted like cheap box wine. Another friend ordered a grilled cheese and said it was loaded with garlic and not in a good way. Wait staff in the theater was great but on the restaurant side kind of crabby. The hostess and the gal at the ticket counter were both really nice! Mixed experience.
Very nice place for great tasting foods and beers. The staff is exceptionally friendly and smart.
Super cool little place. Korean Bowl (Bim Bop) was absolutely scrumptious as was the Aussie Burger with pickled beets, pineapple, Carmelized onions & cheddar. Our server was very genuinely nice & attentive.
