I went to Fennelly for about a year and I have only bad things to say about him. he made every single one of our appointments about himself rambling about bs instead of talking about my health. he spoke down to me when I was describing what other doctors told me, refused to gender me correctly (despite saying he supported my identity), and whenever I disagreed with him on something he disregarded my wishes and did it anyway. at one point he even called my mother to tell her how rude and disrespectful I was and made her feel ... read more
He takes plenty of time with patients. He is thorough and knows the recent research re meds. He’s a unique individual and talks about his own unrelated personal matters quite a bit, but don’t let his eccentric communication style dissuade you. He’s very good at his job.
Terrible. He seemed to have little interest in why my daughter was there (child study team workup) and he was focused during our time together in primarily talking about himself and his wife. My daughter thought he was odd, too. Spent inordinate amounts of time just staring off into space. My daughter guessed-- rather generously, I thought -- that he suffered from ADHD.
My son has seen Dr. Fennelly since he was a preteen, and is now 30 years old. After seeing a number of other doctors for his autism and OCD, only Dr. Fennelly kept trying different medication combinations until he hit upon one that worked well. His approach was reasonable and considered. While I see a couple of very negative reviews here, keep in mind that individuals with these types of conditions may have extreme perceptions about their treatments. In my view, Dr. Fennelly had done wonders
Horrible experience. The worst nightmare.
Interested in getting a lot of background. Approachable.
Dr. Fennelly is extremely knowledgeable. He is a very caring doctor
I will never recommend this doctor to anyone, he misdiagnosed my son and gave him meds which made him hallucinate and had many other side effects, he was hard to get a hold of and had no answers. My son still to this day is affected from this doctors uncaring ways.
It took a while before I opened up to him, but once I did everything improved. He takes my feedback seriously. He shows me the potential I have. He is warm but very direct. Dr. Fennelly is not trying to win a popularity award so for people looking to complain but not do the work to change, find another doctor. His premium prices seemed high but he gets results so I'm happy to pay. For those of us that can afford him and also enjoy his no nonsense style, he is a miracle worker.
