I lost a great deal of weight in a short amount of time on chemo in 1997. I knew I needed to tone, but was bewildered s to how to accomplish that. I thought I might like yoga, so I bought many videos (it was the 90's folks!). One by one, I watched and consequently pitched them one by one in the trash, thinking that I could NEVER EVER do any of it. I was first introduced to Bryan Kest via an old videotape where he provocatively leads a class wearing acid wash jeans (sans shirt) with long, flowing hair. Then, a little over a year ago, I had the opportunity to experience Bryan in real life at one of his master classes...and he did not disappoint! This dude is the real deal and his yoga style is no bullshit. He's hilarious, charismatic and seems very down-to-earth. Was so fortunate to have had the opportunity to practice with this great man live yesterday! Five years ago I was given a Bryan Kest DVD. Inspired, I began my own journey as a student and then a teacher. I am so grateful for what yoga has taught me. Thank you Bryan for reinvigorating my practice on and off the mat.
