We had a man cave fire with SO many items! ***'s company did the inventory and made sure we understood all our options. He represented us and we did not have to talk to the insurance company at all. When they took too long, he got them on track. When they offered too little, he got them back on track. It was an awful experience to loose so much property, but *** made it easier to deal with. We are so happy to call him our friend.

Worst mistake of my life. Ten years ago after a house fire I hired Brown O'Haver to help me deal with my insurance company. A company was hired by them without my knowledge and had packed and inventoried everything before I even knew about it. Family clothing took two months to be returned to me. They misrepresented my intentions to the mortgage company, stating that I would use structure funds to make mortgage current - though I clearly told them I would use personal property money. Ten years ago? How unfair! No one around here can recall this client. Records are disposed of after seven years. However, please note that we never urge clients to sign off on insurance proceeds. Mortgage holders would insist on doing this and it is the client's responsibility to interface with their mortgagees, especially when they are in foreclose.
