Nicknamed the "Little Smokies" because of the area's resemblance to the Great Smoky Mountains, Brown County encompasses nearly 16,000 acres of rugged hills, ridges and fog-shrouded ravines. Glaciers from the most recent ice ages stopped short of the "hills o' Brown," but their meltwaters helped create the narrow ridges, steep slopes and deep gullies of Brown County State Park. Very big campground. A lot of things in the area to do. Campers must enter the west gate.
So many great trails to hike and see the beauty of Southern Indiana!
One of my favorite places to visit. I've been going there for over 60 years.

Beautiful park. Lots of things to do. The lodge had a great pool. Close to great shopping.
