About this business

I am very excited to tell everyone about my restaurant and explain who we are! However, first let me tell you about myself as well as how I became owner of Brown’s Catfish in the first place. I moved to Russellville in 1978, and had worked for restaurant corporations for over 10 years. I started at the bottom; moving my way up from dishwasher to manager of two national restaurant chains. Soon after, in 1980, I opened Brown’s Country Inn; a full service “Mom & Pop” restaurant. Four years later, I opene... read more

Catfish was a little rubbery... perhaps from sitting under the heat lamps. I suspect its better when served fresh from the fryer.

Came in Saturday at 2:06 with the wife. We had washed up before trying to enter the Restaurant. The Buffet was full of food, and we were turned away because it was after 2:00. Most places want your business, but I guess this place doesn’t. I don’t get it, the food was there , wouldn’t you rather serve it, or would you rather it sit on a buffet line for an hour and a half, then serve it. We usually give a restaurant one opportunity, I guess yesterday was yours.

An absolute must try for Russellville! Brown's has became a favorite restaurant of ours. The ribs and cinnamon rolls deserve 5⭐ alone. The atmosphere is extremely welcoming and fun! The staff are so friendly, helpful and extremely attentive. The safety through the tough Covid time was definitely acknowledged all around. We felt safe with the distance, and how well the staff helped customers making sure things were clean. if you leave this place hungry, it's your own fault.
