The only good thing of my stay was I was there for 8 months and couldn't go back to drug use. The staff is half acceptable/half "trigger happy". The MD's observe the notes of the staff and have very little to do with each patient as well The PH.D's in this over populated envirorment. Hence...Heavy meds. Do not send anyone here or go there yourself. If you feel you or someone you care about needs help...Presbyterian hospital in Charlotte or Davis hospital in statesville are 100% better choices.
My brother has been a patient her for a very long time. This hospital has incredibly caring staff members who are truly committed to their work. They show him patience, compassion, and humor. The professional medical staff has some hits and misses, but that's common in the psychiatric field; psychiatrists are often more fascinated with the science of psychiatry than with the human person they are treating.
