Showed up after driving 1 1/2hrs for scheduled 10:30 PET scan today, only for them to say sorry machine’s down, don’t know when we’ll fixed don’t call us we’ll call you. Nobody on staff bothered to call ahead of time to save me a day I took off work, 3hr round trip, 24hr pre diagnostic fasting and anticipatory stress. Up until today we had a wonderful experience but today my Mom was treat so awful by the receptionist that even though we were here 20 minutes early it is an hour and 15 minutes past our appt time so she registered 12 patients who came in AFTER my Mom. She was so rude to everyone. Now she is being nice. Too late
I had a positive experience at the Brookwood Cancer Center during my radiation treatment. A diagnosis of cancer can be overwhelming. However, it is a blessing to have caring individuals as part of your healthcare team. I would recommend this facility to those who must undergo cancer treatments. The staff members with whom I had contact epitomized the characteristics of excellent healthcare. They were kind, friendly, compassionate, patient, caring, and courteous.
