Seems like there is reoccurring theme in these reviews. I'm going to add my experience today. Ordered my breakfast, finished up got the check BOOM 20% added in "advance" didn't notice until I went through the itemized receipt. I almost added my own tip, at that point the waiter would have got a nice double tip. It is posted in random places in the restaurant, and on the receipt when going to pay, but it doesn't matter...2 reasons. 1. You're taking away my choice. 2. The old bald bespectacled white guy with owner vibes is about as rude as they come. Read the rest of the bad reviews for this place and you'll see I'm not the only one who was unaware of the automatic added gratuity. My friend and I almost ended up tipping twice. I told the owner that they really oughtta make that more clear, and he immediately got really rude and defensive. "There's a sign there in the other room!" he barks out.
