I am a resident here at Brookdale Alamo Heights.I am a retired police officer. The staff is very nice and helpful.
I am a resident here and I think it deserves 4 stars. By the way, our apts. are what we make of it - cozy and comfortable or very bland and not welcoming. After all, our personality should show through! I do appreciate that Brookdale is not a Nursing home but our home.
We have had nothing but problems with this place. Inadequate care for our grandmother, understaffed and what staff they have is not trained properly, mixed up meds, constant picky charges to her account, forever trying to raise the rates, I would not recommend this facility to anyone. I would like to give this NO stars whatsoever, however it doesn't post if left undone.
