My Father is paralyzed from the waist down. He developed a bed soar so bad that his body was septic... and the staff at Brookdale never told us until he was dying - literally. The bed soar had to have been developing for over a month before he was sent to the hospital and they never told us anything! They have yet to administer my pain medications -- or my mental-health medications. Also, most of the staff -- not all -- are surly, rude, or incompetent. Fo not admit your loved ones here! 0 stars

When people ask how my mom is doing since she moved to Brookdale Alamo Heights, I can honestly say, "She's happy". It seems to me that she is happier now that she has been in a long time. She told us yesterday that she has much less stress than when she was living at home. She tells us often that she likes the food, the people, the activities, and her room is just perfect for her.
As a resident I find it a wonderful place. The staff is great.
