I went to the emergency department on Tuesday night having severe abdominal pains. They are so nice here. Although the wait in waiting room for 6 1/2 hours was unbearable, I was finally brought in a room. My care from there was amazing. I had an emergency appendectomy. Everyone I came in contact with were so nice and helpful, which is great because you cannot have anyone with you. They were fast to get cat scan and ultrasound done in such a timely manner. They explain everything and always have students with them learning. I... read more

Thank you, Lenette, for sharing these kinds words!
I would recommend this hospital but since the pandemic virtual visit now being used inappropriately when patient should be seen! Remember they were started due to the lack of PPE and and no vaccine. We have both now. Also, Administrative assistant are not calling patients to ask if this is okay time for your virtual visit. You will see it pop-up in your partners schedule. This has happened at BWH and MGH. I feel there has been some de-humanizing of patients because these people just don’t care and are plugging people into ti... read more

Hi, Kate, we're very sorry to hear about your experience at the Brigham. If you could send an email to ptrelations@partners.org, a member of our Patient and Family Relations team can assist you. Thank you.
Where do I begin? My journey started in the ED. Initially impressed with staff, particularly the nurse, technicians, and some drs. I had an anesthesiologist who was arrogant and incompetent. Once it was determined I needed to be omitted, it took 6 hours to get into a room. (Room available, no transportation people to help). My assigned surgeon did not provide good care. Following surgery, I would see him at 6:00AM for 2-3 minutes, but he would not address my medical concerns. His resident covering the night shift listened an... read more

40 years ago they saved my life. now my daughter is in their hands and they will save her. they are the best of the best.
They are great. I wish they were in R.I.
This hospital is incompetent and unhelpful with any complex medical problem. When you have a rare disease instead of actually helping they tell you to see a psychiatrist. They continue to mess up my medications and care. I have now switched hospitals and will NEVER go to Brigham again. I recommend you find doctors who actually care.
Do not recommend delivering a a baby here. They are awful and almost killed me and my son
I went to Brigham and women to day with one of my clients I work for a group home I am a nurse. They constantly said my client needed to keep her mask on she is cognitively delayed, She is a two person assist on all appointments they refused to let our second staff come into the appointment and they also harrassed her about keeping her mask above her nose though she had it on the whole time. Coming from someone who has worked for Brigham and women this is in acceptable this is a learning hospital. So you should teach your st... read more
