I just finished up a series of physical therapy sessions with Josh Kernen and am amazed at how quickly I recovered from my knee surgery. He was patient and kind with my healing yet not afraid to push me to the next level when appropriate. Being an experienced athlete himself gives Josh the insight into what I was going through. He's informed and knowledgeable and able to answer all my questions.
I've had nagging shoulder and elbow pain for a year or so. After receiving treatment at Bridgetown PT, I am now pain free. Better yet, they've educated me on excercies I can do at home for future prevention. Excellent instruction on proper excercise technique!
I've been treated for lower back problems twice at Bridgetown. Both times I've walked away feeling better, more relaxed and with the right knowledge to help prevent further aggravations with proper stretching. The clinic is stacked with some amazing equipment and the doctoral staff stays on top of cutting edge techniques. I've also taken a few after-hours exercise classes there that are like x-fit meets pilates. Looks like another reviewer also posted about the classes below too. They're awesome!
I am totally disgusted with the total lack of help that I received after going there twice as well as the HUGE bill I am left holding after not even being treated AT ALL. No thanks. Not sure who they are geared toward but I am one very unsatisfied customer
I originally started going to Bridgetown 3 years ago for knee and IT band issues I was having while running. Josh helped me strengthen underdeveloped muscles and taught me how to stretch properly to prevent future injuries. He examines whole body functioning to uncover the root cause of injuries. Once I was back to 100% (I haven’t had any knee or IT band issues since!) I continued seeing Josh at Bridgetown for Personal Training and joined their “Training Like the Pros” class. Josh helped me work on form, create a balanced wo... read more
I have worked with many trainers, dietitians and doctors, yet I still felt completely lost. I wasn't eating enough, working out way to much, and completely exhausted. A good friend of mine told me about Bridgetown and the more she told me the more I felt this was exactly what I needed. I called and made an appointment right away. I met with Josh Kernen and after spending an hour talking with him I really felt he could help me . I put myself in his hands and for the first time felt trust, enough trust to let go of my crazy re... read more
Extremely friendly and knowledgable therapists – Bridgetown Physical Therapy is a one of a kind facility. They offer a unique workout program called "Training Like The Pros" that no other facility in the Portland area does. The owner, Dr. Josh Kernen, has gone through extensive training to be able to offer such a program. I was invited to this elite group through a friend of mine that is a patient of Bridgetown. It's not easy to get in shape in your 30's but Bridgetown provides a fun and interactive way to to do so. I do NOT... read more
Highly knowledgeable therapists; high-quality facility – I have visited many physical therapy clinics, both as a patient and as a volunteer. I was highly impressed with the facility at Bridgetown, and with the knowledge of the therapists and staff. The clinic is geared not only toward rehabilitation, but toward helping the client to develop a lifelong habit of exercise and wellness. I worked with Dr. Josh Kernen at Bridgetown for a couple of months to heal a strained rotator cuff. I was very impressed with his knowledge of s... read more
Best PT clinic in Portland! – This facility is awesome! I don’t agree with the last posting, but it made want to make my own post. I blew out my ACL playing basketball and my surgeon sent me to Bridgetown PT. He said they were great and I wasn’t disappointed. The staff was very helpful answering my questions. I haven’t really had to use my health insurance before and they helped explain my benefits. When I first started I was pretty depressed because I couldn’t play basketball and wasn’t sure if I would ever play the same ag... read more
