Tried to ask for transgender care and he attempted to use fear to make me uncomfortable with it, despite the fact I knew all of that beforehand.

I had to schedule an next day appointment, one of the worst mistakes I've made in quite awhile. Dr. Scheeringa was judgemental, degrading and rude. I have never had anyone alone a doctor that I am sharing private information with. I am a tough cookie, and I left in tears. Worst experience.

Horrible encounter with Scheeringa. One star is too much. Went to ER due to leg and back pain that impacts my mobility, followed up three days later but no relief from pain so was scheduled with him a few days later. I haven’t seen complaints about his so-called care and manners as those above. Judge mental, cold. Rude and sarcastic. Luckily I had my son-in-law in the appointment who witnessed everything. I explained what I needed and my symptoms as he demanded. He told me that I only needed my right leg to drive so I should... read more

One star is more than he deserves. Tardy, no concern, egotistical, more concerned about his title than care for his patients. Power and control. Does not demonstrate a level of knowledge and expertise that is expected. Lies..."We only conduct a MRI when we are considering surgery." Not trustworthy, demonstrates a lack of respect for peers and for co-workers. Blaming them for his shortfalls.

I went for my physical. I had been to the ER 3 days prior for left leg swelling and given a diagnosis and told to follow up with my PCP. He says my leg is swollen because it’s summer. Funny that my right leg is normal size, it must not know it’s summer. Dr Brian Scheeringa is a quack. I’m looking for a new PCP.

He's a Dr who has absolutely no bedside manner. Has no knowledge on patient treatment. Missed my husband's pneumonia which he ended up in the ER for. Made him feel like crap for seeking help over multiple other issues. Even asked my husband, SO WHAT DO YOU THINK IS WRONG?! After he explained every detail he was experiencing. He offered no help and was a jerk about everything, never answered questions and didn't give feedback, never listened, never seemed to care. We've seen him 3 times. Don't waste your time with this guy. G... read more

Ive seen Brian a handful of times, each time worse then the prior appointments. I have extreme pain all through out my body, it hurts to walk it hurts to breath. It's not muscle related. He did the typical listening to heart, and lungs. Then his flash light test, And then the strength test. Every test he did checked out fine. Then he asked me "What I think is wrong" Are you serious?? Your the doctor, my pain scale is at a 7, my whole body hurts that's not muscle related, and I'm loosing feeling in my finger tips. He tried to... read more

45 minute wait times, even when no one is in the office. Happens everytime. Last time after waiting an hour, I told doc I had two issues. He said, “well whats more important to you, cause we only have time for one?” Really? No guidance on medication changes. Very quick to push narcotics. Does not listen to concerns

First thing he asked when he came into the room for my sons 4 month well check was “so what are you here for?” He then asked “how old is your son?” Also, he did not look in his chart to see he had his immunizations already and proceeded to tell me he needed them (he had the 4 shots the time prior). I had a lot questions about starting my son on stage 1 baby foods. Dr. Scheeringa couldn’t answer my questions, just responds with “ok” after every question I had. I switched PCP’s immediately.
