Saw us on emergency basis, and was extremely thorough. He gave full explanation of the situation and we never felt rushed. The care has been superb and his entire staff wonderful. I would highly recommend him and the entire group

Dr. Torpey is hands down the absolute best Ortho on the planet. He saved my leg and still helps me over 25 years later. I'll need to see him ASAP due to issues that only he can handle with the leg he saved. That and I trust him 110%. I've traveled thousands of miles to be treated by him and that speaks volumes. Not only is he a skilled surgeon, who is not scalpel happy, he also has the most incredible bedside manner ever. Nobody will ever touch my knee as long as Dr. Torpey is around, unless he brings someone on board.

Dr. Torpey and the rest of the staff at Professional Orthopedics are top notch! They are compassionate and experts in their fields. Dr. Torpey was able to repair my fractured arm with surgery. Sheila, Physical Therapist then provided me with intense PT for several months. I am able to have full use of my arm and shoulder now. I will be forever grateful to the entire staff at Professional Orthopedics, but especially to Dr. Torpey and Sheila.

Dr. Torpey did a great job fixing my ACL when I was in high school. Now I’m playing football in college. I just him recently for a new injury. He is always concerned and caring.

Dr. Torpey was able to figure out what was wrong with my shoulder when so many other doctors couldn't. He has been nothing but supportive, informative, kind, intelligent, comforting, and an all around great guy during the visits I've seen him. He is very apprehensive to do surgery unless it's absolutely necessary and makes sense (which is a great quality for a surgeon to possess). I am not fearful whatsoever of having him do my surgery and I am 100% certain he'll fix my problem. AMAZING DOCTOR!!

I have known Dr. Torpey since 1995 w/my Mom's hip replacement & then my shoulder & elbow surgery in '98 & '99. He takes a lot of time w/you, is patient, kind, expert in best practice, the best Orthopedic MD I know. He reassured me many times after injuries/pains and is trustworthy in helping you make decisions best for you. I sent a friend to Dr. Torpey who couldn't move her arms and he got her better after many docs had given up. A constellation of excellence!

Went for 2nd opinion with Dr Torpey, following poor experience at Seaview Orthopedics who recommended waiting to see if spiral fx would heal on its own. Dr Torpey said healing on own was possible but range of motion would have limitations. L Arm re-spinted,CT Scan ordered, surgery performed showing more extensive damage than originally thought including a torn rotator cuff. Longer plate needed along with more screws. Glad we got that 2nd opinion!!!

It has become clear to me Brian Torpey should be known as Surgeon Torpey not Dr Torpey. My hip is worse now then before meeting Torpey and having his two surgeries, he is now telling me I should have a third which two second opinions clearly disagree with. There is no concern for figuring out what is causing the pain just throw me under the knife until something works.

Dr. Torpey tried to replace my ACL and fix my Meniscus but it was worse after surgery and had to get the whole thing done over so I cannot reccomend him for Knee issues such as I had. He didn't even come into the hospital room either after the surgery to see how I was doing eventhough I asked.
