Dr. Lai gave me so much hope during my first visit. He took time to explain his opinion regarding my condition and offered some different treatments that no other doctor has suggested. He has been a godsend.
Dr. Lai helped me understand my pain condition in a way no other doctor has before and recommended a treatment plan that allows me to take less medication.
I have seen Dr. Lai for many years and he never fails to amaze me with procedures that he is able to offer. Vertiflex has changed my life.
My appointment was a great experience. From the front office staff to meeting Dr. Lai, I was extremely happy with his approach of explaining all my options and providing with treatment options that have helped me regain my life.
Wonderful doctor. He was willing to take the time to explain my medical condition to me and come up with a plan that will help me improve my function without lots of medication. I am fortunate to have found him.
Dr. Lai saw my mother and was willing to have me be involved with the whole process despite my being in another state. He is one of the most professional and considerate doctors I have ever met. If I were practicing in southern California, I would send all my patients to him for care of their pain conditions. He is A+ in my book.
He absolutely refused to give my 86 yr old mother opiates for her neuropathy. Instead he insisted she undergo MRIs and X-rays. Even after jumping thru hoops to get a few pills for when her pain is excruciating he still refused. Then he up and moved with no notice at all! Left my mom high and dry on her Lyrica, a much needed pill for her neuropathy!!!
Lai was very arrogant during my initial appointment. His first words to me were that he doesn't believe in prescribing opiates for pain management. Instead, Lai and many other local pain management docs advocate epidural procedures, which at best offer a very short period of relief. So patients living with chronic pain are left without meds....thanks to the hyped opioid crisis.
Best pain doctor I ever saw. He was great at listening to my concerns and helped get to the bottom of my pain.
