I've been under Dr. Bretsky's care for the past 8 years. He is super-smart and attentive. He takes the time to answer all of your questions and concerns. And he always calls to follow up on lab tests and other procedures. I couldn't be happier!

After going to Dr. Philip Bretsky for the past 5 years, I unfortunately was told that they will no longer be able to see me unless I pay an additional fee ranging from $1,500 to $10,000. My annual appointment was back in April and they told me that they had to push it to a later time due to COVID. office is charging patients $75 for a REFERRAL for a covid-19 test during a pandemic. greed only begins to describe the practices in this office.
Dr Bretsky himself is a perfectly good, kind, doctor. The way he runs his office however leaves a lot to be desired and is my reason for seeking another internist. 1.His medical and physicians assistants are kind but not thorough in their practice and woefully inept when it comes to proper execution of their jobs. Due to their lack of attention to detail I was asked back to do additional blood work they had neglected and my daughter asked back 3x to draw more blood that wasn’t done.At this point we said enough. 2. Sadly his office has gone significantly downhill. I’ve been going to him for over a decade but it is consistently hard to make an appointment and the other staff are not as paitent or willing to listen as much as he did. I took the day of when I finally got an appointment and then the person I was supposed to see cancelled, while I’d already been fasting and needed a refil on my medication before going out of town. They were unwilling to work with me and this is final straw. Beyond disappointed.
If you’re looking for a new doctor I’d advise you skip Bretsky. His staff is rude. Bretsky is never available .You will not be able to speak with him on the phone & generally you see one of his aides,not him.My last visit was awful & I was misdiagnosed by a physician assistant. So many great doctors out there. Not this one. All about the bucks.They’ll be happy to sell you Botox injections...but don’t practice good medicine.
Dr. Bretsky is almost impossible to see or have a phone conversation with. He has his physician aides see patients and administration aides return calls. On the rare occasion one does see him, the appt. is very rushed and you’d better have a list of questions ready or he’ll be out the door before you ask anything. You are charged a fee for everything. From submitting your insurance forms to having a phone conversation with Dr. Bretsky ($75.00). Bretsky wants your money above all else.
Bretsky great. Getting stuck seeing snarky PA (particularly Sandra) Bc it is impossible to get in with him (as an existing client), not great. He's taken on way too many patients, so I had to fire him (hadn't been able to see him for a year). If you ever need urgent care, you will not be seeing bretsky himself.
