The attitude of the server and the ambiance didn't match the +$100 bill per person expectations. Food was good but, I can make better at home myself.
I visited Brenner’s Steakhouse for their $55 Houston Restaurant Week menu and left impressed. The atmosphere is more “old money cozy” than overly pretentious, which I really enjoyed. Incredible calm and relaxing fine dining right off the Katy Freeway. The four of us made reservations a few days in advance and were seated right on time and were walked through the amazing gardens. The staff was extremely courteous and knowledgeable regarding the drink and food menus. The Old Fashioned was excellent and had just the right amount of "smokiness" to it. Bravo! Came here with a big group. The management was very accommodating to our request when we no longer wanted to sit outside. Food was really good.
Overall, we had a relatively OK experience, but there is a glitch in your serving process that you need to fix. The glitch is that apparently your servers don't have a good understanding of their scope of work which results in confusion, and in our case, an insulting tone toward us. When we got seated one of your servers approached the table and asked us what we like to drink, and we told her.
