Unfortunate.... – We tried this restaurant for an anniversary dinner. Boy, I was completely disappointed. The prices were very high for what we got. The steak was okay, but only okay and the sides were boring and ordinary. The wine list was long and they had a good selection. Of course, the location is awesome, but that's about the only thing that was awesome. The service, too, was not very good. Typical Landry's Fare – What do you expect??? It's a Landry's!!! First the landlord took the location from Rainbow Lodge, then they BOMBED out badly. Next the the King of Chains took the location and used the Brenner's name he bought to label this great location. Oh well...
Gorgeous scenery, Service is poor – Most beautiful atmosphere, food is delicious, but the service is sub par. Our server was simply an order taker, didn't welcome us to the retaurant, spoke maybe 10 words thorughtout the meal, he disappeared for long periods. Dining out is not just about the food quality, it's the whole experience and service plays a key role in this.

Price does not equal service – The best located restaurant I've been to in Texas with the idyllic grounds and coutryside atmosphere that makes you feel like your miles away from the city. The trouble was we had service which was below par for a place that cost us $35 per person for brunch. "Toasted" english muffins took an additional 10 mins and came out un-toasted when they forgot to serve them and they don't understand the meaning of "no mayo".
