Long time patient and never had a better dentist anywhere. Dr. Paulson and all the staff are friendly, patient and helpful.
Dr.Paulen has been my dentist for as long as I can remember.The whole team goes above and beyond when it comes to a warm and inviting atmosphere.I have had friends go to other dentist and complain about the pain when it comes to root canals and other procedures,I've never had those feelings,guess they don't see my dentist.When I go to the office it feels more like seeing family vs going to the office.I got dry socket with my wisdom teeth removed,Dr.Paulen treated me after hours and the weekend.
I was very fortunate to find Dr. Paulen / Proud Smiles in 2015. I was suffering from an abscess in a tooth supporting a bridge. Complicated issues were quickly diagnosed that necessitated a regiment of treatments over three years. During the entire time, Dr. Paulen's skill and knowledge, brought my dental situations back to full health. Dr. Paulen and the entire staff are professional, skilled, compassionate, and dedicated to excellent patient care. I know, I am a Proud Smiles believer.
While Dr. Paulen's practice states that they "accept" several insurance carriers, they are in fact not "in network" not under contract with any of them. They are a fee for service provider, which means that they can and do charge the patient for the difference between what they charge and what the patient's insurance pays. I'm sure she is a fine dentist and comes highly recommended, but her practice needs to be up front about the fee for service piece.
Business response:
This is a common issue for many dental and medical service providers. Depending upon your insurance coverage, you can seek treatment from both in-network or out-of-network providers. We never try to conceal that we are an out-of-network provider, and yes, we do accept all PPO plans. We deeply regret that this was not clear in this instance. Unfortunately, most insurance plans limit the "approved" procedures for in-network providers and therefore severely limit the care that can be provided.
While trying to write a clever yet factual review of the outstanding services provided by Dr Paulen and her team, this site censored my original post. The only reason I'm continuing the review is my commit to do so and my visit really was a refreshing departure from others in the field. However, I'll never use Google again to review anyone or anything
I have been to numerous dentists over the course of my life and Dr Paulen is, without a doubt, one of the very best. She is thorough, forward thinking and sensitive to patient needs.
Dr Paulen and her staff are wonderful! Dr Paulen listens, cares, and remembers what you've said is or isn't important to you. I've had gentle dentists, skilled dentists, caring dentists, etc., but Dr Paulen is ALL of those things. I've been going to Proud Smiles Dental for years now, and I recommend Dr Paulen wholeheartedly.
I have been seeing Dr. Paulen and her friendly staff for 15+ years. Dr. Paulen listens to my concerns and routinely answers my questions in an easy to understand manner. She's a perfectionist when it comes to my smile and I would recommend Dr. Paulen and her team to anyone looking for a personalized care.
I have been with Mrs. Brenda for many years, and I haven't had any problem, she hasn't been able to fix. Dr. Paulen has given me the the very best service and care of my whole mouth.
